Rep. Mary Miller (R-Ill.) said she “will never stop fighting” after 83 Republicans voted against her amendment to reinstate airline pilots who were terminated due to COVID vaccine mandates.
“I joined Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green to lead an amendment to reinstate the pilots who were fired by the illegal and unconstitutional COVID vax mandate,” tweeted Miller. “We have a pilot shortage because of the chaos Biden caused with his vax mandates.”
“I will never stop fighting the Swamp on this!” said Miller.
Miller joined Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Ga.) in offering an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration authorization bill which would have reinstated the pilots.
The amendment failed on a vote of 141-298, with 83 Republicans voting against the measure, and only one Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine), voting for it.
Rep. Darin LaHood (R-Ill.) voted against the measure, with both Miller and Rep. Mike Bost (R) supporting it.
