Small business owner, family farm operator, and state representative Mike Marron announced his endorsement for Matt Hausman for Congress today. Hausman, who is focused on providing solutions over rhetoric, received Marron’s public support because of his ability to find solutions that make people’s lives better.

Representative Marron said, “I first met Matt Hausman and his family through the farming community here in Central Illinois. The more I hear from Matt and who he is up against this election, I believe he is the best choice to represent us in Congress. He has seen how the heavy hand of government imposing regulations and taxes hurts our farmers, businesses, and families. Matt isn’t someone who is just going to yell about issues to win an election, he’s a leader who will help everyday people. For that reason, Matt Hausman has my full support.”

Mike Marron was one of Hausman’s first endorsers when he announced his campaign for Congress. Marron leads a list of local leaders who endorse Hausman, which includes: Becky Doyle, former Illinois Director of Agriculture; John Brown, Village President of Savoy and Champaign County Sheriff candidate; Von Young, Retired Parkland College Police Chief; and others. Hausman recently announced the endorsements of Congressman Adam Kinzinger and the Chicago Tribune, as well as public comments from former Governor of Illinois Jim Edgar suggesting Hausman has the best chance of winning the 13th District in November.

“A struggling economy with record inflation, surging crime, and an education system that is falling short are keeping families up every night. Yet instead of finding solutions to these problems, politicians are using them to generate fear and outrage to win elections,” Hausman said. “None of this helps everyday people. I decided to run for Congress to change the narrative, stopping the political games and instead focusing on finding solutions so we can restore the American Dream.”

About Matt Hausman: Matt Hausman is an aerospace engineer, teacher, and local community leader raised on a family farm in central Illinois. Hausman has always looked to the horizon, investing himself into making a better future for current and future generations, including as a teacher at a low-income charter school and as an aerospace engineer for Boeing and SpaceX. He has led the non-profit group “Feeding Our Kids” and serves on the Champaign County Mental Health Board. Hausman was born and raised in Pesotum on his family’s 1,500-acre grain farm, for which he will assume direction in the coming years.
