Report: Rantoul City School District spent $13,128 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rantoul City School District 137 was up 25.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $10,429 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,128 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,684 to 1,814 students over the same period.

Rantoul City's spending in 2019-20 was 9.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
