Urbana median home prices fell by 28.4% in the fourth quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Urbana fell by $63,100 while total sales increased by 1700%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 108 homes sold, with a median sale price of $159,400 - a 28.4% decrease over the $222,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Urbana in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Urbana for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,285, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
