Report: Tri Point School District spent $19,386 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Tri Point Community Unit School District 6J was up 51.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Livingston County school district spent $12,795 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,386 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 395 to 355 students over the same period.

Tri Point's spending in 2019-20 was 33.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
