Report: Deland-Weldon School District spent $13,775 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Deland-Weldon Community Unit School District 57 was up 6.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Piatt County school district spent $12,961 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,775 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 221 to 199 students over the same period.

Deland-Weldon's spending in 2019-20 was 4.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
