Report: Mahomet-Seymour School District spent $9,874 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District 3 was up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $8,940 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,874 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,053 to 3,220 students over the same period.

Mahomet-Seymour's spending in 2019-20 was 31.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
