Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Inc recently issued the following announcement.

We’re planning a busy fall to help your business. This plan includes educational and leadership development programs, helping your company to secure B2B dollars with grant application assistance and filling your job openings. We are ready help your business thrive. 

Back to Business (B2B) Grant Open Houses
Each Tuesday: August 31 through September 21*
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Chamber Office, 303 W. Kirby Ave., Champaign

Do you need help or have questions about the B2B Grants? As a designated Community Navigator, we are available to offer free and confidential technical help. Each Tuesday**, August 31 through September 21, our office will have designated staff available to answer questions and help with the application. There is no need to make an appointment - stop by any time between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to get the help you need. 

*The B2B Open House on September 21 will take place at the Get Hired Champaign County job fair at the Hilton Garden Inn (1501 S. Neil St., Champaign). Get Hired will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

**Staff is also available other days of the work week to help with the B2B Grants, but appointments must be made in advance for those days. Please email MattB@champaigncounty.org to set up an appointment.

The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job fair to provide local companies with an opportunity to meet and interview job seekers. This event will connect job seekers with employers so companies can interview, hire people onsite or create a talent pool for contacting in the future.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Don't wait until December to comply with the state requirements. As of January 1, 2020 all employers in Illinois are required to provide sexual harassment prevention training to all employees each calendar year. 

Public Act 101-0221 amended the Illinois Human Rights Act (“IHRA”) requiring all Illinois employers to provide annual sexual harassment prevention training by December 31, 2021. Employers who do not provide training for all employees could face fines and other penalties. 

We want to make meeting the state requirements easy on you. This webinar allows employers to fulfill all requirement with ease. This webinar will satisfy the state required training for all employees that attend.
