Village of Belgium Public Works Committee met Feb. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Public Works Committee of the Village of Belgium was called to order by Committee Chair Clem Gottsacker at 6:00 PM, in the Village Hall, 104 Peter Thein Ave, with the following members present:

2. ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS

PRESENT: Village President Pete Anzia, Trustee Josh Borden, and Trustee Clem Gottsacker. Trustee Josh Borden arrived at 6:06 pm. Also, in attendance were Dan Birenbaum DPW Superintendent and Julie Lesar Village Clerk.

EXCUSED:

a) A quorum was established.

b) The meeting is following Open Meeting Laws.

c) All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence.

3. AGENDA ITEMS: CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING:

a) Discuss and make recommendation for the Village E-cycle event: The Town of Belgium has scheduled the E-cycle collection on May 15, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Town dump 1215 Jay Road. They have provided an estimated expense of $3,000 for the Village's share. The Village has budgeted $1,000 for this event in 2021.

Moved by Clem Gottsacker, seconded by Josh Borden, to recommend holding the event with the Town of Belgium on May 15. Over-budget expense will be allocated from 2020 Fund Balance.

MOTION CARRIED by the following votes:

Ayes: Pete Anzia, Josh Borden, and Clem Gottsacker

4. ADJOURNMENT

Clem Gottsacker made a motion to adjourn at 6:12 pm. Motion was seconded by Josh Borden.

MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
