Urbana home prices fall in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Urbana fell by $26,500 while total sales decreased by 93%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $107,000 - a 19.9% decrease over the $133,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 71 homes sold in Urbana in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Urbana for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,285, approximately 3.1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
