Paxton home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Paxton rose by $27,600 while total sales remained unchanged with 38 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 38 homes sold, with a median sale price of $82,000 - a 50.7% increase over the $54,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Paxton in the first half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Paxton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,035, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
