Gibson City home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Gibson City fell by $25,000 while total sales decreased by 26.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $108,000 - a 18.8% decrease over the $133,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Gibson City in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Gibson City for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,102, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
