Piper City home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Piper City fell by $11,250 while total sales decreased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $26,750 - a 29.6% decrease over the $38,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Piper City in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Piper City for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,268, approximately 4.7% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
