Paxton home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Paxton rose by $13,500 while total sales decreased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $77,500 - a 21.1% increase over the $64,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 28 homes sold in Paxton in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Paxton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,035, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
