Monticello home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Monticello rose by $750 while total sales decreased by 27.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 62 homes sold, with a median sale price of $159,500 - a 0.5% increase over the $158,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 86 homes sold in Monticello in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Monticello for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,553, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
