Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unified School District 5 issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.
Congratulations to Hannah Hathaway for her selection as December Student of the Month. Hannah is a member of the basketball and softball teams and is the Red Army leader this year. She is a member of Interact, National Honor Society, Student Council, Project Ignition and serves as a class officer. Hannah has plans to go to college and study elementary education. She is the daughter of Parker and Sandy Hathaway and was nominated by Ms Leake.
