Champaign home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Champaign rose by $10,600 while total sales decreased by 25.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 1,288 homes sold, with a median sale price of $149,500 - a 7.6% increase over the $138,900 median sale price for the previous year. There were 1,721 homes sold in Champaign in 2017.

The median sales tax in Champaign for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,362, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for 2018.
