Mahomet home prices fall in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Mahomet fell by $60,500 while total sales decreased by 89.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $195,000 - a 23.7% decrease over the $255,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 47 homes sold in Mahomet in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mahomet for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,391, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
