Urbana home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Urbana fell by $550 while total sales decreased by 34%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 64 homes sold, with a median sale price of $128,450 - a 0.4% decrease over the $129,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 97 homes sold in Urbana in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Urbana for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
