Sidney home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Sidney rose by $5,600 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $132,850 - a 4.4% increase over the $127,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Sidney in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Sidney for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,541, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
