Monticello home prices rise in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Monticello rose by $16,000 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $127,500 - a 14.3% increase over the $111,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Monticello in December 2016.

The median sales tax in Monticello for 2017 was $2,553. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,409. This marks an increase of 6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
