Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Vermilion County?

There were 62 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Vermilion County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chambana Sun.

The data shows that 57 men and five women were released in Vermilion County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Andrew Eggleston. He was convicted of homicide in 2004 when he was 25 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Vermilion County municipality.
