2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Piatt County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Piatt County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chambana Sun.

The data shows that 10 men and two women were released in Piatt County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 43-year-old man convicted of a sex crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Timothy M. Wonderlin. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2009 when he was 19 years old. He is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
