Homer home prices rise in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Homer rose by $70,000 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $140,000 - a 100% increase over the $70,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Homer in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Homer for 2017 was $2,041. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,013. This marks an increase of 1.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
