Penfield home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Penfield fell by $19,600 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $33,500 - a 36.9% decrease over the $53,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Penfield in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Penfield for 2017 was $1,646.18. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,461.40. This marks an increase of 12.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.9%.
