Ogden home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Ogden fell by $12,250 while total sales remained unchanged with eight homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $87,500 - a 12.3% decrease over the $99,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Ogden in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Ogden for 2017 was $2,603.42. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,595.80. This marks an increase of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3%.
