Savoy home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Savoy rose by $4,750 while total sales decreased by 24.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 56 homes sold, with a median sale price of $226,250 - a 2.1% increase over the $221,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 74 homes sold in Savoy in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Savoy for 2017 was $4,601.70. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,076.70. This marks an increase of 12.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
