Savoy home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Savoy fell by $11,600 while total sales decreased by 7.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 71 homes sold, with a median sale price of $207,900 - a 5.3% decrease over the $219,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 77 homes sold in Savoy in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Savoy for 2017 was $4,601.70. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,076.70. This marks an increase of 12.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
