Potomac home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Potomac rose by $20,355 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $54,000 - a 60.5% increase over the $33,645 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Potomac in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Potomac for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,201.80, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
