Report: St. Joseph spent $8,400 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at St. Joseph Community Consolidated School District 169 is down 0.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Champaign County school district spent $8,429 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,400 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 900 to 846.

St. Joseph's spending in 2017-18 was 37 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
