Report: Westville spent $8,824 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Westville Community Unit School District 2 is up 2.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $8,643 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,824 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1267 to 1316.

Westville's spending in 2017-18 was 33.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
