Report: Rantoul spent $12,912 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rantoul Township High School District 193 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Champaign County school district spent $12,419 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,912 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 794 to 753.

Rantoul's spending in 2017-18 was 3.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
