Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unified School District 5 issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
Please be aware that Sterling High School will be playing a playoff game starting at 1:00 pm this Saturday prior to our 6:00 contest vs Sterling/Newman Catholic. They are anticipating a crowd of 5-6 thousand people for that game which means early arrival / tailgating could be a challenge. The field will be cleared and cleaned between games which will mean gates not opening until closer to game time. Finally, uniformed police will be monitoring tailgating area activity and providing security for the facility. Please plan accordingly and travel safely to support our Falcons!
