Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unified School District 5 issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
Congratulations to Tyler Ricks for being named November Student of the Month. Tyler is a member and co-captain of the soccer and track teams, has appeared in several musicals and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholar competition and actively serves with our local food pantry. Tyler is the son of Tim and Joan Ricks and plans to study engineering in college. He was nominated by Mr. Ertel
