Rantoul City School District 137 issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
Each year we pause our regular school activities to recognize Veteran’s Day. This year, we will have a Veteran’s Day Assembly to start our school day, and we would like to recognize any and all of our Eater families who have United States military veteran’s or active duty service members. Please join us in one or both of the following ways:
1. Your veteran (or active duty service member) is invited to join us on Friday, November 9 at 8:20 for a light breakfast and then join us for our all-school assembly. Please RSVP to hjacobs@rcs137.org by Tuesday, November 6.
2. We invite you to complete this form for our hallway display for your veteran (or active duty service member). The form asks for information like pictures, name, rank, branch of service. This gives all of our students the opportunity to see how many of our lives are touched by veterans. Please drop of the form at school attention: Ms. Jacobs or email hjacobs@rcs137.org.
