Savoy Fire Department responded to 172 calls in 2017 - 2.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Savoy included 99 fires - 86 structure fires, five vehicle fires and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $14,623 in fire loss - or about $148 per fire.

The department also received 73 false calls, including six malicious calls and 67 other false calls.
