Report: Westville spent $8,532 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Westville Community Unit School District 2 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $8,634 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,532 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1261 to 1327.

Westville's spending in 2016-17 was 34 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
