Report: Tri Point spent $15,360 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Tri Point Community Unit School District 6J is up 28 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Livingston County school district spent $12,014 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,360 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 468 to 408.

Tri Point's spending in 2016-17 was 18 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
