Village of Thomasboro Board of Trustees met Nov. 21.

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Thomasboro was held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. President Evans called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.
Roll Call
The Village Clerk called the roll, finding the following members physically present: Village President W. Tyler Evans and Trustees Anthony Grilo, Anna Martin, Kyle Henegar, Dustin Rhodes, Ronda Scott, and Trent Sage.
Other Village officials present: Jeremy Reale, Village Clerk.
Executive Session
Trustee Grilo moved to enter into executive session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (C)(1), for the purpose of discussing candidates for the position of Chief of Police. Trustee Scott seconded the motion.
The Village Clerk called the roll:
YEAS: Grilo, Martin, Henegar, Rhodes, Scott, and Sage – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: None – 0
The motion carried by roll call vote of 6 to 0.
The Board entered into executive session at 6:02pm.
The Board reconvened in open session at 7:02pm.
Appointment of Chief of Police
Trustee Martin moved to approve the appointment of Robert Rea to the position of Chief of Police at an annual salary of $45,000.00 and three percent employer matching retirement contribution. Trustee Henegar seconded the motion.
The Village Clerk called the roll:
YEAS: Grilo, Martin, Henegar, Rhodes, Scott, and Sage – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: None – 0
The motion carried by roll call vote of 6 to 0.
It was noted that the appointment of Mr. Rea would be conditioned upon the acceptance of an employment agreement specifying the compensation, benefits and terms offered by the Village of Thomasboro.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Board, Trustee Grilo moved to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Rhodes seconded the motion. Motion carried viva voce vote.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:07pm.
