The Champaign County Board of Health will meet March 15 at the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District offices to review its agreement with SmileHealthy.
The program offers a range of dental services to children participating in the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission’s Head Start/Early Head Start programs.
The board will also review reports from the past four months from the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, including reports on wellness and health promotion, maternal and child health, a Zika virus update.
The board will also discuss the county's efforts to pass legislation that would limit the types of coolants used in closed-loop well systems. The measure has been under review since late last year and is meant to address concerns about harmful cooling chemicals contaminating groundwater.
The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District offices are located at 201 W. Kenyon Road in Champaign.
