The Urbana City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to consider approval of two liquor licenses.

The Urbana City Council establishes laws for citizen welfare, determines policies that govern providing municipal services and approves certain mayoral appointments. The council is composed of seven members, each elected from a different ward. The council meets on the first and third Mondays of each month.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2016, in the Council Chambers of the Urbana City Building, 400 South Vine Street, for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the following items:Ordinance No. 2016-08-060: An Ordinance Amending Urbana City Code Chapter Three, Section 3-43 (Increasing number of Class G2 liquor licenses for Lacey’s Place, LLC, 110 E.
