Village of Fisher Planning and Zoning Commission met July 2

Roll Call: Heiser-Present, Welborn-Present, McCool-Absent, Pierce-Absent, Zehr-Present

Meeting called to order at 5:37 pm.

Public comment:

Members of the public asked questions regarding the rezone of Agriculture to R1-Single Family filed by Mark Hortin. The Petitioner was not in attendance to answer questions.

PUBLIC HEARING:

Dawn Trotter-Fansler asked when the project will begin and if the rezone is approved, will the Petitioner be able to farm until construction starts.

Gene Heap asked if the drainage on the east half of the project will be updated. The current tile is insufficient to drain the current runoff; and will the township road be expanded to handle an increase in traffic.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Committee voted 3 to 0 to recommend to the Village Board consideration of request to rezone from Agriculture to R1-Single Family filed by Mark Hortin. Property located at the South 40 acres of the Southwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 22 North, Range 8 East; commonly known as 3100 County Road 600N, PIN (Parcel Identification Number) 10-02-30-300-002 (30 acres) and 10-02-30-300-005 (10 acres). The recommendation is contingent upon receiving answers to the following questions:

• If the rezone is approved, will the Petitioner be able to continue to farm the property until construction starts.

• When will construction begin.

• What updates will occur regarding drainage on the east half of the project.

• Will the Township Road be expanded to handle increased traffic.

MOTION by Welborn, seconded by Zehr.
