Illinois State Senate District 51 issued the following announcement on Feb. 6.
Senator Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) released the following statement after the Senate voted to override the Governor’s veto of HB3902:
“Flightstar is a major local employer whose presence has also helped us to increase the number of daily flights into and out of Champaign – this bill is extremely important to keeping them, and helping them grow, right here in central Illinois.
So I’m glad to see that the Senate was able to do the right thing and override the Governor’s poorly thought-out veto of this important bill. This legislation is about protecting, promoting, and growing jobs in the aviation industry and ending the Department of Revenue’s skullduggerous attacks on aviation businesses and jobs.”
