Rantoul home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Rantoul fell by $2,050 while total sales decreased by 49.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 34 homes sold, with a median sale price of $67,950 - a 2.9% decrease over the $70,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 67 homes sold in Rantoul in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Rantoul for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,786, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
