Village of Saint Joseph Board met Aug. 27.

CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 p.m.

APPOINTMENTS:

• A new Village Board member will be appointed. *

• A new Planning/Zoning Commission member will be appointed. *

MINUTES: Review and approval of the August 13, 2019 Village Board Minutes* Exhibit #1

BILLS: Review and approval of the Village’s bills* Exhibit #2

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: The Board welcomes your input. The Village has a resolution regarding public participation. The specifics are located at the end of the agenda.) ^

MAYOR’S DESK:

• Approval for moving forwards to join the Vermilion County Landbank.*

• Update on the Public Hearing held 8.20.19 regarding the possibility of marijuana being sold in the Village.

• 2020 Census; employment opportunities for Village residents and efforts for a complete count.

STANDING COMMITTEES:

Finance, Personnel, & Economic Development:

• Discussion on potential savings on sewer bonds with First Midstate. Exhibit #3

Sanitary Sewer:

• Update on phosphorus building.

Parks:

• Purchase 2 six-foot benches in coordination with the Prince of Peace Early Learning Center and their recycling projects. The cost for each is not to exceed $700.*

Public Health & Safety, ESDA, & Sheriff: Nothing to report.

Buildings, Grounds, and Equipment:

• The 100c Case tractor needs some work

• Purchase or return of previous copier. $700 to purchase or $473.13 to return.*

Streets, Alleys, Sidewalk, & Drainage: Nothing to report.

Attorney’s Desk: Nothing to report.

Clerk’s Desk: Nothing to report.

Office Manager: Nothing to report. (Handled in Buildings & Grounds)
