Report: Heritage spent $10,945 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Heritage Community Unit School District 8 is up 5.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Champaign County school district spent $10,359 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,945 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 479 to 481.

Heritage's spending in 2017-18 was 17.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
