Village of Tolono Board of Trustees met Aug. 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Present were President Rob Murphy, Trustee Buffo, Trustee Miller, Trustee Morris, Trustee Perry, Trustee Ping and Trustee Stuber.

The President lead the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustee Stuber gave the invocation.

The President appointed Brandy Dalton as Village Clerk. Trustee Stuber motioned to approve the appointment with a second by Trustee Miller. Roll Call Vote – Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes.

The Board heard public comments.

Engineer Scott Burge gave an update on the new police station. The Village will pursue its own solicitation for bids for installing a flag pole.

Treasurer Robert Kouzmanoff gave the Treasurer’s report.

Trustee Stuber motioned to pay the bills as presented. There was a second by Trustee Buffo. Roll Call Vote – Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes. The motion carried.

The Board reviewed sewer credits. There was discussion about the requested sewer for 304 N. Pease. Trustee Ping motioned to deny the request with a second by Trustee Morris. Roll Call Vote – Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes. The motion carried.

There was a motion by Trustee Miller to approve the minutes of August 1, 2017 with a Second by Trustee Buffo. The motion carried.

There was a motion by Trustee Ping to hire Leslie Lundy at $90.00 an hour to certify the Village Audit Report with a Second by Trustee Stuber. Roll Call Vote – Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes. The motion carried.

There was a motion by Trustee Perry to approve to Special Event application for It’ll Do for August 19, 2017 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. with the $50.00 fee shall get donated back to the fundraiser, all as presented. There was a second by Trustee Stuber. Roll Call Vote –

Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes. The motion carried.

There was a presentation from the Fire Protection District regarding ESDA.

Trustee Stuber made a motion to authorize the President and Treasurer to secure interest/phone service from a provider for the police department at a cost not to exceed $350.00 a month. There was a second by Trustee Ping. Roll Call Vote – Trustee Buffo – Yes, Trustee Miller – Yes, Trustee Morris – Yes, Trustee Perry – Yes, Trustee Ping – Yes, and Trustee Stuber – Yes. The motion carried.

Trustee Stuber motioned to adjourn Second by Trustee Buffo.
