Urbana Historic Preservation Commission reviews applications

The city of Urbana Historic Preservation Commission met Wednesday to review an application submitted by Brian Adams and Alice Novak to designate the house at 702 W. Pennsylvania Ave. -- referred to as the Hieronymus House -- as a historic landmark. 

The commission also reviewed an application submitted by Alice Novak to designate the house at 601 W. Delaware Ave. -- referred to as the Frank and Fanny DeWolf Residence -- as a historic landmark. 

Finally, the commission noted that a request submitted by Joe and Phyllis Williams to allow the replacement of a deteriorated concrete stoop on the west side of the historic house at 810 W. Main St. was administratively approved.

The commission meets at 400 S. Vine St.
