Fisher board approves electricity aggregation
The village of Fisher added its name to a list of communities in the state and around the country that have signed up for electricity aggregation.
Electricity aggregation is a group buying process in which several municipalities pool together to leverage their collective buying power to secure lower and more stable rates, saving the local governments and their residents money.
The village's Board of Trustees voted unanimously Nov. 18 to have Homefield Energy facilitate the village's aggregation package.
The board also received presentations from Sensus and Master Meter in consideration of purchasing new water meters.
