Rep. Mary Miller, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois’ 15th district, recently posted a series of messages on her social media account addressing national security concerns and sharing personal reflections.

On August 3, 2025, Miller shared a biblical passage: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” – Deuteronomy 31:8.

The following day, she raised concerns about foreign investment in American real estate. On August 4, 2025, Miller wrote: “China is buying up American homes at record speed—up 83% in one year. While American families struggle to afford housing, the CCP is cashing in. This is a national security threat.”

Mary Miller began representing Illinois’ 15th district in Congress after succeeding John Shimkus in 2021. She has secured her seat through decisive victories in recent elections, defeating Paul Lange in the 2022 general election with over 71% of the vote and Erika Weaver in the 2020 general election with more than 73% of the vote.
